Here’s what our zone 8 garden looks like in the middle of February 🌸

During the winter months, the camellias do most of the heavy lifting in terms of adding color and interest to the garden. While camellias are generally suited for climates without harsh winters, there are some varieties that are hardy to zone 6.

Right now, we have Pink Perfection, Professor Sargent, Nuccio’s Cameo, Seafoam, and a few unnamed camellias are blooming.

We also have tea olives, crocuses, and daffodils blooming, with many more spring bulbs just starting to pop up every day! 🌱🪻🌷

Since we’re hoping to start another bathroom renovation this year, here’s a throwback to our first bathroom renovation, which we finished nearly 3 years ago! 🛁

Luckily, our primary bathroom already has new plumbing because it was renovated in the early 2000s. So, this bathroom renovation shouldn’t have as many of the stressful surprises our last one did. However, you never know what you’ll find when renovating an old house 🙈
